Halfmoon Pandemonium

In the Seven-pillared Hall, Quorbin asks about possible establishments where adventurers might rest, several are apparent but in the end he finds himself fortunately at the Halfmoon Inn. As soon as he settles in a corner to sit and observe, three of the ‘Four out of Fallcrest’ came in — A dragonborn warrior in chainmail; a plate accoutered dwarf with a mean looking hammer; and a human in mage robes. They were ushered in by a halfling rogue, a local by the way he moved about and spoke. Before Quorbin could stand up and make his way across the room to them, an argument erupts between the dragonborn and a group of belligerent bugbears. The bugbears appear to be the local guards, glorified thugs really, giddy about pushing their weight around. Weapons are drawn, blood spilt and pandemonium erupts within the largish hall. In the end, the guards are cut down by the trio. Fearing for reinforcements, the halfling scuttles them out the back door, Quorbin exits through the front of the establishment to look for them around the back.

The reinforcement guards arrive and are looking around to catch the troublemakers. Quorbin pulls at the dragonborns’ arm “Follow me” he says and motions for the others to follow, leading them to a side alley away from the commotion and the eyes of any who might finger them out to the guards. Unfortunately, the human is nabbed and detained. They escape the area and set about finding the means to liberate their captured friend.

Speaking to Kurgan, Quorbin inquires after Ayesh. “He went missing trying to catch a fleeing enemy. This is an unfamiliar place and he could be lost in the many passages that honeycomb this area. He may still be trying to make his way to us” the dragonborn assures him. “You’re welcome to fight with us in the meantime. It would be unfortunate if we find him eventually while you have gone your way.” And so, Quorbin becomes a replacement of the brother he seeks, destined to draw steel among his brother’s friends until he can be found again in the labyrinth within Thunderspire Mountain.
