Bloody Blade

Kurgan swings his magical sword against the demon and connects. Yshven moves up from the doorway to take a stand beside Kurgan, The mage moves to the safety of the now-cleared room. From the corridor south, more hyenas arrive besetting the archer, the cleric and the fighter. The din of battle ring out, fangs versus steel. The demon pounds the leader Kurgan and the dragonborn howls in pain. More reinforcement in the form of 3 gnoll bowmen join the fray, taking advantage of the distraction wreaked by their hyena allies as before. The ranger is mauled and pin-cushioned. So is the fighter and the cleric but all hold their ground. The ranger attacks a hyena and then moves, a bloody mess, inside the cleared room with Casval. The mage is casting a frenzy of ice blasts at the fracass in the corridor. Meanwhile, Kurgan is being pumelled by the ape-demon but he is fighting back with the help of Yshven. The hyenas and bowmen takes some hits from Quorbin, Casval and Garrosh. Finally, the tide turns. The hyenas are downed and so is one of the bowmen. The demon gives a tremendous blow to Kurgan. The sound is a sickening, wet sound. The party feared Kurgan lost but thanks to the magic in his armor, he survives and rallies back with a tremendous attack of his own, he swings his sword hard enough that the blade slices through the demons chest, even through the shattered left shoulder bone behind it. The demon keels over and drops, lifeless. Yshven and Quorbin concentrate fire on one of the two remaining bowmen while Kurgan bolstered by some healing from the cleric takes on the other one. Soon Yshven finishes his gnoll and switches to Kurgans. Soon the corridor is… well, ‘clean’ does not precisely describe the carnage.
